It’s completely possible to fall in love in a week.

Week One Update:

I’m serious. I’ve completely fallen in love and it only took me a matter of a week, maybe less, to realize it.

And before all of my friends who know that I’m perpetually single start freaking out and asking who the guy is, let me just clue you in and tell you there is no guy. There is no romantic gushiness happening in this girl’s life, because my heart’s been taken by a new adventure and 21 new consultant sisters.

When I up and changed my life just a few weeks ago and took on this slightly intimidating, albeit exciting, big girl job, I had no idea that I would love it this much. Sure, this has been a dream of mine for a while, but sometimes reality isn’t quite as pretty as the dream itself, so I had no idea what to expect.

But truly, this is a dream. Every person here has made this past week an amazing experience already. It’s crazy to me how quickly women from all over the country can come together and get along right from the start. We are more than just getting along though; these girls already hold special places in my heart. The fact that I have felt immediately comfortable with everyone just pays tribute to the fact that sororities are much deeper than the stereotypes that people perceive them as. Sororities are value-driven groups of women who come together knowing that there is opportunity in supporting each other. They come together knowing that they’re joining more than just their chapter, but also their national organization.

In Fall 2011, I joined a chapter of amazing women at Central Michigan University. The women I met there changed my life.

Summer 2015, I’ve joined a new group of sisters who I can tell will have just as much of an impact on me, and will be best friends that I carry with me through the rest of my life.

I’m not sure I believe in love and first sight, but this job is proof you can fall in love within a week.

thrive & be bold.

xx
